Space 1 became the first home of XeniArtSpace, opening in December 2024 to show the personal collection of the founder, Xenia Kulbachevskaya. It was created as an intimate space, but it quickly grew into something much bigger.

In 2025, the gallery hosted five temporary exhibitions and brought together works by contemporary artists from Cyprus and more than 10 countries around the world. What began as a private vision has become a living, growing space for international dialogue — and this journey is only beginning.

Permanent collection

Our permanent collection brings together a variety of artworks — from vibrant paintings and drawings to site-specific installations — by artists from around the world whose works can be found in museums and distinguished galleries. The concept behind the collection reflects art as a continuous, spiral journey — one in which artists revisit familiar themes, each time offering new meanings and interpretations.

Echoes of Her:
Women of the Greek Myths

This exhibition brings the women of Greek mythology — goddesses and heroines long kept in the shadows — into the spotlight. For the first time in Cyprus, works by Bulgarian sculptor Nina Lishovska-Todorova will be shown alongside 20 Cyprus-based artists, who reimagine these ancient narratives through painting, sculpture, and mixed media. Together, they explore how archetypes of femininity still shape us today, and how art can challenge and transform them

British artist Max Naylor creates dreamlike worlds where nature takes on new meanings. His paintings and drawings show imagined landscapes—or even "mindscapes"—where familiar shapes like trees, lakes, and sky become symbols of something deeper.
